Depending on the client, it’ll often take skill to sell such a simple idea, even when the design is clearly an obvious fit.
The spacing between the wordmark and the “by Emblem Capital” tag (above) is too close for comfort, as if rushed at the last-minute, but on the plus side, the lockup rarely appears.
The colour palette is particularly fitting. It, and the paper stock, were chosen to complement the building’s textures and materials.
The man in the photo (above) is the late Agustín Landa Vértiz, the architect who designed the building. He died at the age of 63 earlier this year.
It’s a symbol that ties in nicely with those other architectural logos.
